Good food and good service. Portion size little small. Little pricey.

We ate twice at this wonderful gourmet restaurant. On our second visit we treated a very special local person that we had met several times while touring Fogo Island. It turned out that he was a master fiddler and accordion player. We were all treated to a very special creation by Nicole's chefs....Lobster Risotto!! It was "out-of-this-world". Don't miss this island oasis.....

I actually haven't been here in years so my review may be inaccurate, but I found the menu very limited and the food overpriced. It was delicious though :)

After Erik The Red was banished from Iceland for manslaughter he spent his 3 year banishment traveling the north and landed in this area after a small squall that left 4 of his men dead. His ship's main mast was cracked and his hull was riddled with leaks so he sought this land for good timber. Upon searching he came across Nicole's Cafe and found it to be bustling with local fur traders and AT&T workers. He had a few bowls of warm Clam Chowder and vegan chili (he didn't eat red meat) and jumped on their excellent wifi to find some good lumber costs and repair men at very affordable costs. The rest is history but this place since then has turned into the #1 fur trading cafe in the world which still holds sway to this day.
